Participation in live events is a central component of a Scripps College experience. Lectures, concerts, athletic events, 5C events, Scripps Presents and community programs, symposiums, and performances, create opportunities to share important perspectives, commemorate experiences, find commonalities with others, create meaningful networks between members of our community, and strengthen bonds with the College.

The health and safety of attendees and event staff will drive all in-person event decisions, and events must comply with current guidance and restrictions from the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), California Department of Health (CDOH), Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH), and College policy.

Scripps College prioritizes the health and safety of its community and all those who visit the campus. Upon arrival for events, the College requires all guests eligible to be vaccinated to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to the event date for those not eligible to be vaccinated) and attest to being symptom-free. Guests eighteen (18) years old or older will also be required to show a photo ID for verification. Masks are recommended but not required for outdoor events.
